Four Orange Regional Registered Nurses Receive Special Orthopedic Certification
Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008
(Middletown, NY) - Orange Regional Medical Center proudly announces that four of its registered nurses have been certified as Orthopedic Registered Nurses by the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses (NAON).
Tracy Blum, Bonnie-Jo Grazian, Tara Levesque and Simone Stein were certified through the Orthopaedic Nursing Certification Board (ONCB). They work at The Bone and Joint Center at the Horton Campus of Orange Regional Medical Center. Each nurse passed an exam that was given by NAON through the ONCB. The nurses were encouraged to take the exam, which increases nursing professionalism and knowledge in orthopedics. They attended an 8 hour orthopedic review course to prepare for the exam.
"This great achievement by many of our nursing staff underscores our commitment
to be the best, most specialized and extensive orthopaedics department in the region," Ronald Israelski, M.D., Chairman of the Orthopedics Department at Orange Regional said. "I am incredibly proud of each nurse receiving their orthopedic certification and even more excited for the community we serve."
