The Mission of the Orange Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is to render service to the Medical Center and its patients as well as assist in promoting the health and welfare of the community. The sole purpose of this Auxiliary is exclusively for charitable purposes.

In 2006, three Hospital volunteer organizations merged into one Auxiliary to become the Orange Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Prior to t this merger, the three organizations ~ The Lenten Sewing Club, The Arden Hill Auxiliary and the Horton Auxiliary raised over $3 million for their perspective hospitals. Since becoming one Auxiliary, an additional $1 Million has been donated to the former Arden Hill and Horton Hospitals for various projects. With regard to construction of the new hospital, $750,000 has been donated for the new pediatric wing and the gift shop.

The Auxiliary's fundraising events include:

Tree of Life

Donations of $250 or more can purchase a leaf to place on the tree in honor or in memory of o of a loved one, co-worker or friend. This is a wonderful way to have a lasting memory that will withstand the test of time. The tree will move to the new hospital, once open.

Vendor Sales

Jewelry; clothing; scarves; pocketbooks; cooking accessories; artwork; hand- made crafts; cosmetics and much, much more are sold in the cafeteria area of each Campus daily. Twenty percent of the proceeds are donated to the Auxiliary. This fundraiser averages over $30,000 yearly. It is, by far, the Auxiliary's most successful fundraiser.

Holiday Fair

Each November the Auxiliary puts on a fair that includes crafters, vendors, a coffee bar and huge bake sale in the cafeteria at each Campus. It is an opportunity for hospital employees, patients and their visitors to do some early holiday shopping and enjoy a good cup of coffee along with some mouth-watering desserts.

Auxiliary Gift Shop

The Auxiliary operates a wonderful gift shop in the Orange Regional lobby.  It serves all the employees and visitors alike.
