  22nd Annual Orange Regional Medical Center 2013 Golf Classic

The Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation’s 2013 Golf Classic will benefit the NEW Pediatric Center. The Center will provide children, from birth to age 17, with quality healthcare services in an age-appropriate, family-centered environment. Our youngest patients will have access to a variety of specialists dedicated to pediatric healthcare needs in an atmosphere specifically designed to ease a child’s anxiety and reduce their fear; emotions commonly associated with a hospital setting. Money raised will provide for a broad range of resources needed to transform Orange Regional’s Pediatric Program into an expanded and dedicated Pediatric Center.

Orange Regional’s three-phase pediatric plan includes:

• Construction of a dedicated Children’s Emergency Department within Orange Regional’s current Emergency Room, featuring 10 secure, child-friendly treatment areas
• The addition of Pediatric sub-specialty services including anesthesia, urology, neurology, endocrinology, surgery, psychiatry and telemetry
• Specialized staff including Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Unit staff and a Child Life Specialist
• Enhancements of the existing Pediatric Inpatient Unit, including designated Pediatric Intensive Care (PIC) Rooms
• Community outreach and education programs on children’s health, wellness and safety

This year’s premier golf outing will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 and offers two tournament choices. Players can choose to play a Better Ball format at West Hills Country Club or a Scramble format at Wallkill Golf Course. Afterwards, all players convene for a lavish reception, dinner and awards ceremony to be held at the new West Hills Country Club.
