High School Program:

At Orange Regional Medical Center we are very proud of the contributions of our current 110 high school volunteers. They add an extra dimension to the exceptional care we provide our hospital community and they have the opportunity for personal growth and development.

We will begin accepting emails, with the information asked for below, on Monday, December 12th.. Information will not be accepted before that date.

Applicants must be 15 years of age and older; and able to commit to one four hour shift of volunteering each week, for a minimum commitment of 60 service hours.  Attendance is expected weekly.  Please consider extracurricular activities, sports, jobs and other commitments you might have (coursework, SAT prep courses, Driver’s ED, etc.) when deciding if this is the right time for you to commit to our program.

Interested high school students need to send us the following information from their email account:

Telephone number:
Date of birth:
School you attend:
Your year in school:
Year of graduation:

Openings are limited. If your email comes in before we close, after reaching our capacity, we will send you by email, an invite for you and one parent (mandatory) to attend one of two evening information sessions.

At the meeting, we will share with the student and the parent information about our program, the application process, our requirements and expectations and certainly answer any questions you might have. If after attending the meeting, you believe that you are able to make the commitment given your school work and other activities (clubs, sports, jobs and other commitments), we begin the application process.

Emails should be sent to Debbie Linken, Director, Volunteer Resource Department, at dlinken@ormc.org.
