Bariatric Surgery Seminars

This seminar focuses on providing the consumer with a general overview of the surgical weight loss program at Orange Regional Medical Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the criteria necessary to meet surgery eligibility, receive a detailed review of the surgical procedures offered at Orange Regional including gastric bypass, gastric banding and sleeve gastrectomy, receive a thorough explanation of the complications/risks/side effects that can be associated with weight reduction surgery, receive an understanding of the patient care pathway during the pre/peri/post-operative phases of surgery, understand that the commitment to post-operative follow-up is necessary to facilitate success with weight reduction to desirable bodyweight range and weight maintenance throughout the lifespan. Seminar attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of seminar presenters which will include the Orange Regional Bariatric Medical Director/Surgeon and the Orange Regional Bariatric Surgical Program Manager.
