We're Here to Help

Formally known as the Horton Family Program for Alcoholism & Chemical Dependency, our multidisciplinary team brings years of experience, coupled with a deep sense of compassion and commitment. We deliver care to individuals and families suffering from alcohol and substance abuse. Our longstanding professional relationships with other community providers allow us to facilitate referrals as needed.

Our clinical staff includes Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Credentialed Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counselors and Counselors.  Together, our staff can assist with restoring health and dignity to individuals and families suffering from alcoholism and substance abuse.

The Orange Regional Medical Center Family Program for Alcoholism & Chemical Dependency offers day and evening comprehensive services and treatment programs designed to meet the special needs of patients and their families. Programs and services include:

Women's Intensive Treatment

Group counseling and education for women who are struggling with alcohol and/or substance abuse. These groups meet three times per week.

Co-Ed Adult Intensive Treatment

Group counseling and education for men and women who are struggling with alcohol and/or substance abuse. These groups meet three times per week.

Co-Ed Adult Relapse Prevention Treatment

Group counseling for men and women who require a less intensive level of treatment. Patients will learn recovery strategies and skills geared towards maintaining overall wellness. Theses groups meet one to two times per week.

Co-occurring Disorders Treatment

Group counseling for men and women. Patients will learn recovery strategies and skills geared towards maintaining overall wellness. These groups meet one to two times per week.

Adult Family Group Treatment

Group counseling for adult patients and their family members. Patients and family members will participate in discussions regarding the impact of alcohol and substance abuse on the family system and learn healthy coping mechanisms. This group meets once per week.

SUBOXONE Medication-Assisted Opioid Treatment

Facilitated by our Psychiatrist, this service is provided to adult patients currently attending our treatment programs as determined by the clinical team. SUBOXONE induction and medication management appointments are scheduled by the clinical team.

Education Group for DWI, DUI and DMV Referrals

Group education and discussion for men and women. Patients will learn about alcohol and substance use/misuse including the impact on self and family. Patients will be scheduled for 12 sessions.

Adolescent Intensive and Relapse Prevention Treatment

Group counseling and education for adolescents who are struggling with alcohol and/or substance abuse. Patients will learn recovery strategies and skills geared towards maintaining overall wellness. These groups meet two to three times per week.

Adolescent Family Group Treatment

Group counseling for adolescent patients and their parents or guardians. Patients and family members will participate in discussions regarding the impact of alcohol and substance abuse on the family system and learn healthy coping mechanisms. This group meets once per week. 

Alcohol/Substance Abuse Consultations for Patients at Orange Regional Medical Center

As requested by hospital physicians, nurses and case managers. The consultation may result in a referral for outpatient or inpatient alcohol/substance abuse treatment.

Comprehensive Alcohol/Substance Abuse Evaluations

We accept evaluation referrals from the court system; probation and parole; employers; Partners in Safety; Vocational & Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID); physicians; schools; inpatient rehabilitation facilities; self-referred and family members.
