State-of-the-art diagnostic technology - skillfully-applied - sets Orange Regional apart. Offering the region's widest range of cardiac testing, we can help you detect, monitor or control your heart problems.
Our diagnostic services include:
Echocardiogram: A diagnostic test that uses sound waves to create a moving picture of the heart. Two dimensional echocardiograms are available in the hospital and on an outpatient basis at our off-site centers.
EKG: An electrocardiogram records the electrical activity of the heart.
Holter Monitor: This mobile device provides a continuous, 24-hour or 30-day recording of heart rhythm during normal activity.
Pacemaker Diagnostic Services: A pacemaker is a small, battery-operated electronic device inserted under the skin to help the heart beat regularly. Our Pacemaker Diagnostic Services offer monthly pacemaker checks via telephone, and in-office visits for reprogramming, battery replacements and overall function status.
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator: An electronic device placed under the skin to monitor your heart rate and rhythm. The ICD detects abnormal heart rhythm and restores normal rhythm to the heart.
Stress Test: Measures the effect of exercise on the heart - giving a general overview of heart health. Exercise/Resting Nuclear and Non-Nuclear stress testing are available.
Trans-Esophageal Echocardiograms: Similar to an echocardiogram, this test uses a small scope which enters through the esophagus to obtain additional views of the heart - to diagnose infections, blood clots or abnormal openings within the heart.
Tilt Table Test: A test used to determine if a sudden change in heart rate or blood pressure is causing a patient's syncopal (fainting) episodes. Orange Regional is the only provider of this test in Orange County.
Cardiac Thallium Viability Testing: Using a specialized Gamma Camera, heart images are obtained to show the viable portions of myocardial tissues - to assist in diagnosing heart disease.
Cardiac Computer Tomography Angiography (CCTA): An imaging method that uses a computed tomography (CT) scanner to look at the structures and blood vessels of the heart. CCTA sees into the wall of the coronary artery and can estimate the extent of coronary disease.
A physician prescription is required for all cardiac testing.
