The birth of a child is one of the most exciting times for a family and the Rowley Family Birthing Center would like to be part of your special day. You will be cared for by a skilled team of maternity care specialists who will help ensure the birth of your baby is a treasured memory. It is our goal to provide the highest level of quality care and customer service; and to exceed you and your family’s expectations.

The entire sixth floor of Orange Regional’s newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to our new Rowley Family Birthing Center, where moms delivery in a nurturing, safe and comfortable environment while having the privacy they need during this special time.

To ensure the needs of mother and baby are met in complete comfort and privacy, the birthing center includes a high-tech security system, 12 private labor/delivery and recovery rooms, 23 private post-partum rooms, private triage rooms and two C-section operating rooms. Labor and Delivery

allways help create a quiet and more peaceful environment for rest and recovery. Room service is also available. In addition, to offer you more peace of mind, in the spring of 2012 we will be opening our new Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care for advanced and specialized newborn care.

At the Rowley Family Birthing Center, our experienced and caring nurses will attend to your emotional and physician needs and work to fully support your birthing plan. Our nurses will work with your care provider and guide your family through the experience from preparations for birth through delivery and post-partum care.

Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants are available to provide both inpatient and outpatient support services to breastfeeding mothers. Our program is designed to achieve successful breastfeeding goals. We also offer prenatal breastfeeding classes and rent hospital-grade, electric breast pumps, if needed.

Visiting Hours

Partners are welcome any time, and siblings of all ages may visit. Extended family and friends (ages 13 and older) may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily with the exception of “Mommy and Me Rest Time” from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Family Education

To help you through the challenges and questions about childbirth and family, Orange Regional offers community health education with classes, programs and support groups such as Lamaze, Sibling Class and Prenatal Breastfeeding.

• Registration is required
• Tours will be conducted twice per month
• Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
• Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.
• Tours are approximately one hour
• Please meet in the hospital lobby for beginning of tour
• Children are permitted on the tour
