Healing Arts Program
At Orange Regional Medical Center, we believe that art is an important part of patient-centered care and essential to our healing environment. Emerging evidence in healthcare design shows that art, integrated into hospitals, reduces stress and improves the ability to cope with pain. In our nurturing setting, we use art to create a welcoming environment for patients, families, staff and the community. Art graces our hallways, common areas and patient rooms, providing a sense of calm, well-being, enrichment, and inspiration.

Art Collection
Our diverse art collection plays an important role in supporting a positive patient experience. A variety of artworks –paintings, photographs, prints, and textiles– fills the hospital with visual interest. Artwork is acquired through commissions, donations, and purchases. Special focuses of the collection include pieces by artists who work and/or reside in Orange and Sullivan counties and landscape imagery that reflects the natural beauty of the surrounding Hudson Valley.
Art Exhibit Series
Orange Regional presents rotating exhibits of high quality works of art by emerging and established local, regional, and national artists. Our emphasis on contemporary art fosters an environment of creative excellence and encourages dialogue.
