(Middletown, NY) – Orange Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Medical Director of Hospitalist Services, Diane Pine, M.D., was named as one of 2009’s Top Hospitalists by Hospitalist Magazine, a publication of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Pine founded, and is a managing partner of, Hudson Valley Hospital Physicians. She attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed her residency at the University of Rochester. Hospitalist Magazine highlights Dr. Pine’s commitment to improving protocols and patient satisfaction at Orange Regional. She recently spearheaded an effort to improve pre-surgical testing protocols hospital-wide. These new protocols have been launched in the orthopedics and neurospine surgery departments and will be used in all departments in the near future.

“Dr. Pine is an example of an engaged physician leader. She sees a problem and works collaboratively with others to reach a solution that works for everyone. She does her homework and brings best practice ideas to the discussion,” said Vice President of Medical Affairs, James Oxley, D.O.
