Greater Hudson Valley Health System Announces Director of Community Health

The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS), comprised of Catskill Regional Medical Center and Orange Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Langseder as Director of Community Health.

As the Director of Community Health, Ms. Langseder will work closely with community organizations in Sullivan and Orange Counties to integrate and align System outreach health programs with community health initiatives as outlined by each county’s Community Health Needs Assessment and the System’s Corporate Community Health Plan. Ms. Langseder will work with community partners to improve the health and health equity of Sullivan and Orange Counties through innovations in education, patient care, research and community and physician engagement. In addition, Ms. Langseder will provide integrated research, planning and leadership in the development of community health initiatives. She will be instrumental in identifying community health program related grant funding and develop grant proposals in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Planning.

Prior to joining GHVHS, Ms. Langseder was the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Director for Sullivan County Public Health where she was responsible for the management of the WIC nutrition education and food voucher program. She provided leadership for the Sullivan County Health Summit, Sullivan County Breastfeeding Coalition and the Sullivan County Oral Health Coalition. Ms. Langseder has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Rowan University.
