Greater Hudson Valley Health System Announces New Leadership

Middletown, NY- The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS), comprised of Catskill Regional Medical Center and Orange Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce new leadership.

Miguel Rodrigues has been appointed to Director of Security, Safety and Emergency Management for the System. Mr. Rodrigues has over 16 years of experience in security including HAZMAT and FEMA. He was a Crisis Management instructor for New York State and was recently honored as an ‘Orange County Rising Star’. Mr. Rodrigues has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Orange County Community College. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from Empire State College.

Jean-Paul Vallet has been promoted to Director of Strategic Planning & Business Development. Mr. Vallet joined Orange Regional Medical Center nearly eight years ago and since then assumed overall responsibility for management of the Certificate of Need process and played a key role in the development of strategic planning and business development initiatives. He has also led the System’s grant writing and administrative functions for the past three years. In addition to his current responsibilities, Mr. Vallet will oversee business development and expansions throughout the System including the creation of the GHVHS physician practices. Prior to joining the GHVHS, Mr. Vallet worked has a planning analyst at Westchester Medical Center, as a consultant for a local healthcare consulting firm and as a research associate at the Health Care Advisory Board in Washington, D.C. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from St. Bonaventure University and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the School of International Service at American University.
