Orange Regional Donates Medical Supplies to Haiti

Middletown, NY – As part of an effort to assist the people of Haiti, Orange Regional Medical Center is joining other members of the Greater New York Hospital Association in donating medical goods to voluntary physician groups that are operating across Haiti. Palettes containing over $10,000 worth of supplies are being readied and expected to ship on Thursday, January 28. The donation includes a variety of items such as sutures, gauze, bandages, exam gloves, trocars, graspers and endomechanical staplers.
These supplies are being sent to the Afya Foundation in Yonkers, NY. The Afya Foundation operates as a clearinghouse and conduit for medical supplies provided to voluntary physician groups located in Haiti and throughout Africa.
