Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center is proud to announce Gerard Galarneau, M.D. and Michael Blustein, Esq. as Co-Chairs of its 2010 Annual Golf Classic to be held on Monday, June 21, 2010. This year’s Golf Classic will be held at the Otterkill Golf Club in Campbell Hall and the Orange County Golf Course in Middletown.
Dr. Gerard Galarneau, Board Certified in Urology, practices at Middletown Urologic Associates. Dr. Galarneau has been an active Orange Regional medical staff member since March of 2000 and has served in leadership positions since 2002. He was the Vice-Chair of the Department of Urology from 2002-2004 and Chairman from 2005-2006. He was the Chairman of Staff from 2007-2008 and has held the position of Chief of Staff since January of 2009. Dr. Galarneau graduated with a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Binghamton, received his medical degree from New York Medical College and held residencies in General Surgery and Urology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Galarneau is an active member of the American Urological Association and the Medical Society of Orange County.
Michael Blustein is Managing Partner of Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone, LLP, with offices in Middletown and Goshen. He attended Cornell University (BS in Labor Relations) and earned his law degree from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1992, the New York Bar in 1993 and the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York. Mr. Blustein started his career in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office in 1992, where he advanced and was assigned to the Felony Narcotics and White Collar Crime Investigations units. Mr. Blustein joined his father in private practice in 1997. In addition to heading the firm’s Closing Department, he currently focuses his practice in commercial transactions, representation of national and local lenders, zoning and land use matters for residential and commercial development, collections and foreclosures. He is a past president of the Middletown Bar Association and current member of Orange County Golf Club Board of Governors.
Proceeds from the Annual Golf Classic support Orange Regional’s comprehensive oncology program which provides state of the art technology as well as a wide spectrum of care including cancer prevention, early detection and advanced treatment.
This year, the Golf Classic offers two tournament choices. Players can choose to tee-off at Otterkill Golf and Country Club or at Orange County Golf Course. All players are welcome to join us at a celebratory evening buffet and awards ceremony at the close of the day at Otterkill Golf and Country Club.
