Promotion provides community with expert leadership of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Nancy Famby, RN, BSN, MBA to the position of Administrator of Behavioral Health Services.
Ms. Famby joined Orange Regional in January 2013 as Nursing Unit Director of the Behavioral Health Unit and she recently accepted leadership responsibilities of the Psychiatric Emergency Access Center located in Orange Regional’s Emergency Department. In her role as Administrator, Ms. Famby will continue to lead the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, Psychiatric Emergency Access Center and will now assume oversight of Orange Regional’s Outpatient Chemical Dependence Program and Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic.
In addition to Ms. Famby’s skill and expertise on behalf of patient care, she leads Orange Regional’s Assaulted Staff Action Program (ASAP), is a trainer for the Preventing and Managing Crisis Situations (PMCS) Program and also facilitates the organization’s Schwartz Center Rounds sessions. These care provider specific programs help to strengthen the caregiver-patient relationship and create a culture of compassion while assisting employees with resources to help them when experiencing challenging situations.
Ms. Famby previously worked as a Supervising Nurse at ARC of Rockland County and the Office of Mental Health Facility at the Rockland Children Psychiatric Center. Ms. Famby received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the College of New Rochelle and her Master of Business degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management at American Intercontinental University.
