Middletown, NY- In conjunction with an 1199SEIU joint labor management project, Orange Regional Medical has selected outstanding nurses to represent the hospital at the 2012 Nurse of Distinction Awards. This red carpet ceremony will be held on May 21, 2012 at the Brooklyn Marriott.
The Nurse of Distinction Awards ceremony is attended by select nurses and their leaders from across the state, to honor and recognize their excellence and dedication to quality patient care. The event is often referred to as the “Academy Awards for Nurses”. One winner is chosen in each of the following categories: Novice Nurse, Preceptor, Nurse Leader and Nurse of Distinction.
The following nurses were nominated by peers and management in acknowledgement of their skills and dedication to the nursing profession, their patients, co-workers and the Hospital.
Novice Nurse: Tammy Jollie – Progressive Care Unit
Preceptor: Bonnie Jo Graziano – Bone & Joint Center
Nurse Leader: Ann Diagostino – Medical/Surgical Unit
Nurse of Distinction: Darian Fox – Behavioral Health Unit
Semi-finalists from across New York State will be interviewed by the New York City committees and will compete against other New York institutions’ finalists.
