Orange Regional Medical Center Announces Nursing Leadership

Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce recent additions to its Nursing Leadership.

Ann DiAgostino, MSN, RN, CMSRN has been promoted to Nursing Service Administrator of the Medical Surgical Division including Inpatient Rehabilitation and Oncology Nursing Care Units. Ms. DiAgostino has been on staff at Orange Regional since 1994 and most recently was the Nursing Unit Director for 4 West and 4 North. In her new role, she will oversee the day-to-day nursing clinical operations of the Medical Surgical, Oncology and Rehabilitation Units and is also responsible for providing leadership to each of the Nursing Unit Directors for these areas. Ms. DiAgostino is also the Co-Chair of the Orange Regional Performance Improved Shared Governance Committee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Plattsburgh State University College and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Walden University. Ms. DiAgostino co-founded The Greater NY Chapter of the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses (AMSN) in 2000 and is currently a National Ambassador for AMSN. In 2012, Ms. DiAgostino was awarded the top honor of the 1199 Nurse of Distinction in the Nurse Leader category.

Laura King, BSN, DC, RN has been appointed Nursing Unit Director for the Progressive Care Unit. Ms. King has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in patient care, administrative compliance and clinical knowledge. Currently, she is the Co-Chair of the Orange Regional Progressive Care Unit Shared Governance Council and a member of the Orange Regional Nursing Research Committee. Ms. King earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College and holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Logan College of Chiropractic. Additionally, she was a nominee for the Hudson Valley Magazine 2013 Excellence in Nursing Award.

Soraya Sulaiman, MSN, RN, CCRN has been promoted to Nursing Director of Outpatient Operations. Ms. Sulaiman joined Orange Regional in May 2013 most recently held the role of Medical Surgical Nursing Director of 4North. She also served as a Clinical Nurse Education for Surgical Services where she was responsible for the orientation and competency of staff throughout the perioperative product line that included PACU, Endoscopy and Same Day Surgery. In her new role, Ms. Sulaiman will have direct oversight for all aspects of nursing practice for Orange Regional’s Ray W. Moody, MD Breast Center, Dunkleman Diabetes Center’s education and counseling services, Diagnostic Imaging and the Eleanor T. Snow Radiation Oncology Center. Ms. Sulaiman earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Pace University and her Master’s degree in Nursing from American Sentinel University. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nurse Practice degree from Capella University.

Patricia Soriano, RN, BSN, MSN, APRN has been appointed Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Ms. Soriano comes to Orange Regional from Danbury Hospital where she served as the Manager of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Prior to that, she held several leadership positions in Cardiology at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital and the Hudson Valley Heart Center. Ms. Soriano earned Nurse Practitioner Certification and her Master’s degree in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University. Ms. Soriano is also a Certified Critical Care Nurse.
