Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center’s Spagnoli Family Cancer Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sergey Koyfman as Medical Director of the Head and Neck Cancers Program.
Dr. Koyfman graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He completed his Surgical Osteopathic/Otolaryngology Internship at Michigan State University and finished his Residency in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Michigan State in 2006. Dr. Koyfman is fellowship-trained in Head and Neck Oncology as well as Micro-Vascular Reconstructive Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery.
“I am thrilled to join Orange Regional’s team of dedicated specialists in the creation of a comprehensive approach to treatments for head and neck cancers,” says Dr. Koyfman.
The Head and Neck Cancers Program at Orange Regional includes a skilled, multidisciplinary team that provides specialized care in early detection, treatment and prevention of various cancers in the head and neck region, namely the oral cavity, pharynx, paranasal sinuses, nasal cavity, larynx, thyroid, salivary glands as well as lesions found in the skin of the face and neck.
Orange Regional’s Vice President Outpatient Operations, Sandra Iberger says, “Dr. Koyfman is a welcome addition to the Cancer Center team. His skill and proficiency in caring for these types of cancers complement the services we offer. We are delighted to have him as the Medical Director for Head and Neck Cancers services.”
According to the American Cancer Society, more than 52,000 Americans will be diagnosed with head and neck cancers in 2012.
