(Middletown, NY) – John Galanti, Treasurer of Orange Regional Medical Center’s Board of Directors, was presented with the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) Americanism Award at a recent dinner held at Kutsher’s Country Club on October 5. Mr. Galanti has been a member of Orange Regional’s Board of Directors since June 2006.
ADL’s Americanism Award was established to honor those exceptional individuals that illuminate and exemplify the noblest ideals and traditions of the United States and the Anti-Defamation League. The Award recognizes leaders in business, community affairs, and charitable endeavors who distinguish themselves in their dedication to preserving liberty and advancing the causes of human rights, dignity, and equal opportunity.
Mr. Galanti is the Chairman of Orange Regional Medical Center’s Capital Campaign, which is in the process of raising $25 million for the construction of the new hospital. When complete, it will be the first new, stand-alone hospital built in the State in over 20 years. Mr. Galanti also serves the local community through his work with many organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Partnership, the Orange County Capital Development Corporation, The Hudson Valley Angel Network, the New Jobs for New York Council and the Management Council of Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation.
