About the Orange Regional’s Pediatric Center
Enhancements to Pediatric services at Orange Regional began in 2013 with the hiring of Pediatric Hospitalists, a partnership with Pediatric Sub-specialists, the addition of a Child Life Specialist and the construction of a Children’s Emergency Department which opened in January of 2014. As the Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation continues to raise funds, further enhancements will include the addition of Pediatric sub-specialty services including anesthesia; urology; neurology; endocrinology; surgery; psychiatry and telemetry. The creation of a child-friendly environment and experience will be obtained with sensitivity training for all staff and the addition of amenities and artwork. Orange Regional will also enhance the Pediatric Inpatient experience by creating Pediatric Intensive Care (PIC) Rooms and adding Community outreach and educational programs on children’s health and wellness. All this will be done with the goal of creating a child-friendly environment and experience suited for children from birth to 18 years old.
