Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center’s Foundation welcomes four new members to its Board of Trustees: Tonia Crown, Jessica Gardner, Michael Gilfeather and Terrence Olivo.
Tonia A. Crown, CPA, CITP is the Partner-in-Charge of the Auditing Department of Vanacore, DeBenedictus, DiGovanni & Weddell, LLP, headquartered in Newburgh, NY. Tonia joined the Firm in November 2001 and her 20 years of public accounting experience includes positions with Price Waterhouse, LLP, in Washington, D.C., and Deloitte & Touche in New York City.
Tonia is very active in the local community. She graduated from Catholic University of America where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and also graduated from John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen, NY.
Jessica Gardner is the founder and president of Media Solstice Marketing & PR, an award-winning interdisciplinary marketing agency in the Hudson Valley. Ms. Gardner has guided the growth of Media Solstice from a freelance operation to a full-service media firm which currently employs five full-time marketing professionals. The Media Solstice team helps advance the efforts of area companies and non-profit organizations, including (but not limited to) Monticello Motor Club, Orange County Citizens Foundation, the law firm of Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone, the Sullivan County Visitors Association, Middletown Medical, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sullivan and Northern Orange Counties and Chapin Estate.
Michael J. Gilfeather is Orange County Trust Company President and CEO. He brings nearly 35 years of banking experience to his leadership position. He also serves in the same positions with the bank’s holding company, Orange County Bancorp, Inc.
Prior to joining Orange County Trust Company, Mr. Gilfeather was Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President of Hudson Valley Bank, where he was directly responsible for the branch network, training and development, human resources and the bank’s trust department. Prior to joining Hudson Valley Bank in 2005, Mr. Gilfeather was with The Bank of New York for 20 years, where he was Senior Manager for all retail banking in the Borough of Manhattan.
Terrence Olivo has been a public school educator for 47 years and for more than thirty-eight of these years, he has been employed as a Central Office Administrator. Mr. Olivo began his career in the Highland Central School District, in Ulster County, as a history teacher. He left Highland, in January 1979, to become the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel in the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District. Ten years later, he became the district’s Superintendent of Schools and held the position until his retirement in August 2004. In July 2007, he accepted an invitation to serve Orange-Ulster BOCES as Chief Operating Officer during the agency’s search for a new District Superintendent. He served in that position for six years, retiring in August 2013. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw the conversion of the former Arden Hill Hospital into the Orange-Ulster BOCES Regional Education Center which serves both adult and school age students from throughout the mid-Hudson area. It officially opened in September 2013 and the building was named the Terrence L. Olivo Building in recognition of his leadership.
Mr. Olivo serves the Mid-Hudson School Study Council as Director of Research. He is also a Member of Orange Regional Medical Center’s Performance Improvement Committee.
Mr. Olivo graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies/Education from Marist College and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and a Certificate in Advanced Studies in School District Administration from SUNY New Paltz.
