Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center hosted its 2009 Physician Appreciation Dinner on Friday, May, 1, 2009 at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen. The event honored Orange Regional’s medical staff for its commitment to delivering quality healthcare to the community. A special tribute was paid to Dr. Diane Pine, Medical Director of Hospitalist Service at Orange Regional and Founder of Hudson Valley Hospital Physicians, and Dr. Jacob J. Barie, Senior Partner at Radiologic Associates, for their outstanding leadership and achievements.
Dr. Pine was honored as the first female recipient of the hospital’s Leadership Award, presented to a physician who continuously takes an active role in the organization, enhances services, programs, education and relationships and exhibits positive leadership among her peers. Dr. Jacob J. Barie received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, given to a physician whose life’s work has made a lasting impact on the quality of healthcare in the community. “Over the years, through daily example, you have illuminated and elevated your profession and reinforced the values and mission of our hospital,” said Ginny Rizzo, Orange Regional Board of Directors Chairwoman.
