Middletown, NY- In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, Orange Regional Medical Center will host a free program called “Look Good… Feel Better” on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Orange Regional Medical Center, 707 East Main Street, Middletown in the Outpatient Conference Room (located just inside the Outpatient Entrance).
Women who have begun or are about to begin a course of radiation or chemotherapy treatment have been advised that they may experience some temporary changes in appearance. The “Look Good…Feel Better” beauty sessions help patients transition through an upsetting, although temporary, period by learning skin-care tips, make-up application techniques and wig and turban styling and more. By the end of the session, patients should have an improved self-image, tips on how to manage their appearance and a sense of support, confidence, courage and community.
“The American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better program is wonderful,” says Orange Regional’s Administrator of Oncology Services, Regina Toomey-Bueno. “When women feel more confident about their appearance, they often feel more positive and empowered throughout treatment.”
Space is limited; pre-registration is advised. For more information, or to register, please call 1-800-227-2345.
