(Middletown) – Orange Regional Medical Center’s Tucker Center for Cancer Care and the Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center are proud to present a book signing and inspirational discussion with author, Wendi Fox Pedicone. On Monday, October 23 at 6:00 p.m., Ms. Pedicone will bring her own brand of hope, humor, motivation and advice to local residents. The event will be held in the auditorium of the Horton Campus, 60 Prospect Avenue in Middletown. The first 125 registered guests will receive a free copy of Ms. Pedicone’s book, “Hanging Out with Lab Coats: Hope, Humor and Help for Cancer Patients and their Caregivers.”
Wendi Fox Pedicone became a cancer statistic in August of 2004 when she was diagnosed with advanced stage breast cancer. She had no known breast cancer risk factors, but did not perform monthly breast self-examinations (bse’s). Her tumor was found during an annual clinical exam. With a tremendous amount of support, she triumphed over the disease. In her book she shares strategies, tips and resources applicable to all women and their caregivers. Her delivery is compelling, entertaining and illustrates many aspects of life through the eyes of a fighter. Ms. Pedicone is guaranteed to move the audience to tears, out-loud-laughter and cheers. The audience will walk away motivated to take part in their own wellness.
Seating is limited and reservations must be made in advance. Please call the Orange Regional Health Connection at 1-888-321-ORMC (6762) to register. Additional books will be available for purchase on the evening of the event and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. For more information on Wendi Fox Pedicone, visit www.foxpress.com.
