Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center, located at 707 East Main Street in Middletown, in partnership with Community Blood Services, will host a regularly scheduled blood drive on the first Wednesday of each month throughout the year.
Upcoming blood drives will be held on the following dates during the first quarter of 2012:
– January 4, 2012
– February 1, 2012
– March 7, 2012
A mobile unit will be at the hospital’s main entrance from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Donors must bring a signed identification card, weigh over 110 lbs and must be in general good health. A free cholesterol and glucose screening will be given with every donation.
According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and more than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.
