Orange Regional Medical Center Hosts Spanish Speaking Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes

Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center will host two Spanish speaking prenatal breastfeeding classes on Tuesday, April 17 and Tuesday, September 18. The classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Orange Regional Medical Center’s Community Health Education Center located at 110 Crystal Run Road, Middletown.

This two-hour class discusses the benefits of breastfeeding to the mother/infant. There is a review of the anatomy and physiology of the breast. Discussion topics include latch-on, proper positioning for breastfeeding and some common situations such as engorgement, soreness, treatments and sleepy baby. Other discussion subjects include the use of breast pumps, diet and the use of medication while breastfeeding. The class fee is $10.
