Partners in Performance (PiP) Excellence has awarded Orange Regional Medical Center with their 2015 Silver Award for Performance Excellence. Representatives of Orange Regional accepted the recognition at the PiP Annual Conference on November 3, 2016 at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Thoroughly examined through the same rigorous process and guidelines of the national Malcolm Baldrige Award for Performance Excellence, Orange Regional Medical Center was recognized for leadership, workforce engagement, and favorable clinical and customer experience outcomes.
“At Orange Regional, we constantly assess and adapt our processes to create a better patient experience,” said Rosemary Baczewski, Chief Quality Officer for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System. “In turn, this pursuit of performance excellence serves as a model to businesses and organizations about the practices of a best-in-class hospital. Through our Baldrige Award journey, we continue to raise the bar.”
Orange Regional was evaluated against the Baldrige Excellence Framework that focuses on eight interrelated process categories and a results category. These areas represent essential aspects of managing and performing as an organization: Leadership, Strategy, Customers, Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management, Workforce, Operations and Results. These criteria help an organization reach its goals, achieve results and become more competitive and sustainable. The aim is to align an organization’s mission, goals and strategic plan with its people, resources and processes, in order to achieve greater customer-patient outcomes.
The Baldrige honor validates Orange Regional’s remarkable performance through innovation, best practices and insightful leadership.
