Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center’s nurses, Christopher Costello and Linda Prioleau, were honored at the 2011 1199SEIU League Nurse of Distinction Awards ceremony. Almost 800 guests gathered in New York City for an exciting evening that paid tribute to nurses who have served as pioneers in our community.
Often referred to as the “Academy Awards for Nurses”, nominees and winners were chosen in each of the following five categories: Nurse of Distinction in a Hospital Setting; Nurse of Distinction in a Nursing Home Setting; Nurse Leader; Novice Nurse and Nurse Preceptor. Semi-finalist nominations for Orange Regional Medical Center were selected by the hospital’s Nurse of Distinction Committee in acknowledgment of their skills and dedication to their profession, patients, co-workers and to the medical center.
Linda Prioleau, a Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical Department on Tower 5 of Orange Regional’s Horton Campus, was the recipient of the ‘Nurse of Distinction in a Hospital Setting’ award. Christopher Costello, a Nurse Director at Orange Regional’s Arden Hill Campus, was honored with the ‘Nurse Leader’ award.
