Orange Regional Medical Center Offers Free Knee and Hip Replacement Educational Seminar

Middletown, NY- Orange Regional Medical Center will host a free knee and hip replacement seminar on Thursday, June 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Community Health Education Center, 110 Crystal Run Road, Middletown. Board-certified Orthopedic surgeon and joint replacement specialist Dr. Kevin Trapp will speak on all aspects of joint replacement including surgical options and pre- and post-operative care. A question and answer session will follow. Refreshments will be provided. Registration is required and must be made by June 5. According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, more than 600,000 knee replacements and more than 285,000 total hip replacements are performed each year in the United States. Orange Regional’s Bone & Joint Center provides a range of orthopedic care from knee and hip replacement and hand surgery to advanced therapies and treatments.

Dr. Trapp attended Cornell University Medical College in New York. He completed an Internship in General Surgery and an Orthopedic Residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he was awarded “Orthopedic Resident of the Year” from 1999 to 2000. Dr. Trapp completed a Fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He has extreme interest and specialized training in joint replacement, including revision of the hip, knee and shoulder. In addition, he obtained specialty training in arthroscopy of the hip. Dr. Trapp is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Trapp specializes in Reconstructive Surgery. He is also the Medical Director of the Bone & Joint Center Programs and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Orange Regional Medical Center.
