Orange Regional Medical Center Offers Free Mammograms

Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center’s Ray Moody, M.D. Breast Center and Orange Regional Medical Group, in partnership with Orange County Cancer Services, will offer free mammograms on Saturday, September 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center located at the Orange Regional Medical Pavilion, 75 Crystal Run Road in Middletown. Participating physicians include Shewli Roy, MD, from Orange Regional Medical Group and Howard Karpoff, MD, FACS. Appointments are limited and must be made by Thursday, September 17. Pre-registration is required.

During the hour-long appointment, eligible individuals will be screened for breast cancer by having a clinical breast exam and mammography. The appointment will also include breast health education and a training video. The event is open to women without insurance who are currently not experiencing breast problems, while still meeting specific criteria. Participants must be over 40 years of age and have not had a mammogram through this program within the last year. Women who have had a mammogram within one year and are currently experiencing breast problems may still meet requirements for participation and are encouraged to call.
