November 13, 2015 – January 8, 2016

Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center presents a multi-media art exhibit, Constant Companions: Contemporary Pet Portraits, featuring the work of regional Hudson Valley painters and textile artists. The opening reception will be held on Friday, November 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Orange Regional Medical Center with refreshments, the artists, and special appearances from animal volunteers of Orange Regional’s Pet Therapy program. The exhibit space is located at 707 East Main Street, Middletown, on the ground floor gallery adjacent to the Conference Center. The exhibit will remain on view through January 8.

Constant Companions celebrates the special relationships between people and their loyal and loveable animal friends. The exhibit features art that captures the characters and stories of domestic animals. Besides offering their owners unconditional affection, companionship, and sometimes protection, pets help people in many ways, including the valuable work of service and therapy dogs. Included in the display are quilts by Diane Fama, Carol Hausler, Jean Iannone, and Barbara Winans, and exceptional portrait paintings by Laura Bolle, Carolyn Edlund, Cara Ginder, Dana Hawk, Nester Madalengoitia, Lisa O’Gorman, and Stephanie Roth.

Constant Companions is part of Orange Regional’s Art Program which features changing art exhibits. These exhibits are free and open to the public. For additional information about the Art Program, contact Orange Regional’s Art Curator, Sarah Johnson, at 845-333-2385 or visit www.ormc.org/art for more information.
