Orange Regional Medical Center Reaches Community via Social Media

October 29, 2009

Middletown, New York- Orange Regional Medical Center has launched three new social media vehicles to help keep community members up to date on the latest activities at the hospital. In addition to its traditional web site, Orange Regional has expanded communication to include Twitter, facebook and a special blog from hospital President and CEO, Scott Batulis.

Orange Regional has achieved several key healthcare advancements for the community over the past couple of years including the development of Orange County’s first diagnostic cardiac cath lab and the present construction of New York State’s first new hospital in over 20 years. Updates on current activity at Orange Regional are posted throughout the hospital’s social media vehicles.

Executive Director of Public Relations, Rob Lee says, “Our Social Media program not only keeps you informed in a timely manner, but also gives the general public a chance to interact with us so we can address questions and concerns. These internet outlets provide updated information about the new hospital construction, new technology at the hospital, information about free health screenings, classes and seminars; even a video about what it’s like to work at Orange Regional.” The community is invited to visit Orange Regional online at:
