(Middletown, NY) – Orange Regional Medical Center welcomes Paul Halpern and Kathy Frommer to its Board of Directors.
Paul Halpern joined Orange Regional’s Board of Directors in October 2008. Mr. Halpern is President & CEO of Medical Staffing Resource, a staffing agency specializing in the temporary placement of nurses and allied healthcare professionals in hospitals throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Prior to this, he was a founder of Valley Forge Estates, Inc., a Top 100 nationwide company during the 1980’s, which developed manufactured housing communities in Sullivan, Orange, Rockland and Suffolk counties. He served on the executive and legislative committees of the New York Manufactured Housing Association.
Mr. Halpern is a member of the Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees Executive Team, serving as the Chair of the Community Phase of the Capital Campaign, the Co-Chair of the Century Club Campaign and is a member of the Golf Classic Committee. Additionally, he is the vice-president of the Rotary Club of Middletown; an honorary board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Wallkill and Pine Bush; a member of the steering committee and advisory board leadership council of the National Academy Foundation; and is a past president of Temple Sinai in Middletown. He is also a committee member for a number of projects involving Middletown High School, including the “Field of Dreams Project” which raised over $200,000 to light soccer and baseball fields in the district and serves as the chair of the advisory board to the Middletown High School Academies of Finance and Information Technology.
Mr. Halpern resides locally with his wife Carmella and children David, Robert, Domenica and Nicholas.
Kathy Frommer joined Orange Regional Medical Center’s Board of Directors in October 2008.
In 1987, Mrs. Frommer began working for CRS Retail Systems, a privately held family owned software company, where she served as President & CEO until her recent retirement. Under her leadership, Mrs. Frommer grew CRS from 25 to 350 employees, with systems installed in the country’s largest specialty stores and in over 30 languages worldwide. CRS was the largest retail specialty store systems provider in the United States.
Prior to joining CRS, Mrs. Frommer was a Systems Engineer for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Control Data Corporation. Mrs. Frommer earned her B.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She sits on the Board of Directors for McQuade Children’s Services.
Mrs. Frommer and her husband, Don, live in Montgomery, with their two children, Kevin and Erica.
