Orange Regional Medical Center’s Nurse of Distinction Committee Nominates Semi-Finalists

Middletown, NY – In conjunction with an 1199SEIU joint labor management project, Orange Regional Medical Center has selected outstanding nurses to represent the hospital at the 2011 Nurse of Distinction Awards. This red carpet ceremony will be held on May 18, 2011 at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, Pier 86 in New York City. The Nurse of Distinction Awards ceremony is attended by select nurses and their leaders from across the state, to honor and recognize their excellence and dedication to quality patient care. The event is often referred to as the “Academy Awards for Nurses”. One winner is chosen in each of the following categories: Novice Nurse, Preceptor, Nurse Leader and Nurse of Distinction. The winners will represent the pinnacle of nursing in New York State. Orange Regional’s Nurse of Distinction Committee has selected its semi-finalists to represent the hospital. The following nurses were nominated by peers and management in acknowledgement of their skills and dedication to their profession; patients; co-workers and our medical center.

Nurse Leader:

Nurse of Distinction:

Mike Neuhaus, Arden Hill Campus, Emergency Department
