Middletown, New York — Orange Regional Medical Center congratulates Sandra Iberger, FACHE, Vice President of Operations, for being selected as the 2009 Healthcare Leaders of New York Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award honoree. Ms. Iberger received recognition on June 17th at the Healthcare Leaders of New York (HLNY) Gala held at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. The HLNY is the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). The ACHE is an international, professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives who provide leadership to the nation’s hospitals, healthcare systems, and other healthcare organizations.
The award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the healthcare field and have significantly contributed toward the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of ACHE goals. Awardees are evaluated on leadership ability, innovative and creative management, executive capability in developing their organization and promoting its growth and community stature, contributions toward the development of others in the healthcare profession, leadership in local, state, or provincial hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and projects, participation in ACHE activities and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Ms. Iberger joined Orange Regional in April 2008. Prior to this, she held several senior executive positions within New York Academic Medical Centers. Her healthcare leadership experience includes NYU Langone Medical Center as Vice President, Hospital Operations; Continuum Heath Partners as Vice President, Administration for Saint Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center; and Assistant Vice President, Administration and Assistant Vice President, Finance for Beth Israel Medical Center. Ms. Iberger is a retired member of the United States Air Force, NY Air National Guard and a seasoned veteran with more than 20 years experience in the military. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the New York Metropolitan Regent Advisory Committee and a member of the Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees.
