Middletown, NY- William Fitzhenry, a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with the Orange Regional Family Program for Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency, was granted the Richard C. Ward Memorial CASAC of the Year Award. He was recognized during the 20th Annual Orange County Counselor Recognition Day.
Mr. Fitzhenry has worked for the hospital for over 30 years and began his internship at the Family Program for Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency more than ten years ago. He was hired after completion of his internship and is a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team.
The award recognizes local workers who dedicate their careers to providing alcoholism and substance abuse counseling to Orange County citizens. Nominations are carefully reviewed and a winner is selected by the Award Selection Committee comprised of Orange County Providers.
The Orange Regional Family Program for Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency offers day and evening comprehensive services and treatment programs designed to meet the special needs of patients and their families suffering with alcohol and substance abuse. Clinical staff is comprised of Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Credentialed Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counselors and Counselors. The office is located at 420 East Main Street, Middletown. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. and Friday from 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
