Orange Regional to Host Free Seminar on Stroke Care

Middletown, NY – Orange Regional Medical Center will host a free seminar “Nuts and Bolts of Stroke Care” on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Orange Regional Medical Center Conference Center’s Conference Center, 707 East Main Street in Middletown.

Dr. Olga Fishman, Medical Director of the Stroke Center Program and Vice Chairman of the Department of Neuroscience and Dr. Vincent Gulfo, Medical Director of Rehabilitation Medicine will lead the discussion on recognizing the signs and symptoms of an acute stroke, current treatment options, recovery and support

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year, more than 795,000 in the United States have a stroke. Although you can’t control all of your risk factors for stroke, you can take steps to prevent stroke and its complications.
