Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center Receives Recognitions

(Middletown, NY) – Orange Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the following staff promotions and certifications.

Penny Lynch, R.T. (M) (R), CBE-C, CBPN-C has been promoted to Manager of the Ray W. Moody, MD Breast Center. Penny is a seasoned clinician with over 25 years experience in breast imaging.

Michelle Worden, RN has been hired as the Ray W. Moody, MD Breast Center Patient Navigator. Michele has been a member of the Orange Regional staff for over 30 years. Michelle is a trained critical care nurse with much success in the fields of Radiology and Oncology services.

As Patient Navigator, Michelle will focus on:
• working with a team to collaboratively assess, plan, facilitate and evaluate timely, quality care for each patient
• creating a seamless bridge between the patient and the numerous disciplines involved in the patient’s medical care
• ensuring an interdisciplinary, patient-focused, system of care for oncology patients coping with breast cancer in our community

Patient Navigator Certification Exam
Ray W. Moody, MD Breast Center staff members recently passed the Patient Navigator Certification Exam offered by Johns Hopkins Hospital in conjunction with the National Consortium of Breast Centers.

Breast Center Manager, Penny Lynch, R.T. R.M. CBEC CBPN-C is now a certified breast patient navigator in breast imaging and cancer care.

Women’s Imaging Coordinator, Kelly Pizarro, R.T.R.M CBPN-I and Mammography Technician, Doris Morales, R.T.R.M CBPN-I are now certified breast patient navigators in the area of imaging.
