Whether it’s you or someone you love, heart disease impacts all of us. From hypertension and high cholesterol to heart attack and stroke, heart disease affects approximately one in five American adults and is the number one cause of death among both men and women according to the American Heart Association.
For this reason, we established the Peter Frommer, M.D. Heart Center at Orange Regional Medical Center, to provide comprehensive cardiac services to our community. We were the first hospital in Orange County, New York to offer diagnostic, emergency and elective angioplasty to the community and surrounding areas. We are very proud to feature the area’s most complete heart care.
The Peter Frommer, M.D. Heart Center is affiliated with Westchester Medical Center and provides access to experienced cardiovascular specialists educated at some of the nation’s most renowned academic centers such as, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Additionally, our program offers state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and a knowledgeable, dedicated cardiac staff trained in the latest cardiovascular procedures. Our wide range of services include:

We also offer a mobile heart program focused on prevention and early detection of heart problems.

Elective angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure where a catheter with a small balloon opens a blocked artery to supply your heart with the necessary blood.
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator
An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is a pager-sized device implanted in your chest. It works by detecting and stopping dangerous, abnormal heartbeats.
Intervascular ultrasound (IVUS) is a procedure performed along with cardiac catheterization for purposes of studying a patient’s coronary arteries.
Interventional Cardiac Catheterization

Insertable Cardiac Monitor
Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is the smallest long-term, insertable cardiac monitoring device for patients with recurrent fainting, heart palpitations.

Orange Regional Medical Center’s Peter Frommer, M.D. Heart Center provides you with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and services without having to travel outside the region. Our Cardiac Programs offers: Cardioversion, EKG, Stress Tests, Pacemaker Diagnostics, and more.
Rehabilitation is a key component of your cardiac recovery. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive services to help you build a healthier heart. A physician referral is required to receive cardiac rehabilitation. After your physician submits a referral package to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, our experienced team will contact you to schedule your individual, pre-program evaluation.
