Graduate Medical Education
The mission of the Graduate and Undergraduate Medical Education Program at Orange Regional Medical Center is to prepare residents and students to be excellent physicians and well-developed individuals by educating them in the fundamental concepts, knowledge, and practical applications of skills taught by a team of dedicated medical professionals.
An Orange Regional residency offers a state-of-the-art facility, enthusiastic faculty and an academic neighbor in Touro Medical College who has a campus within a few miles of the hospital. Dedicated to the principles of Osteopathic medicine, our partnership with Touro Medical College provides additional opportunities to offer a dynamic educational experience.
About Our GME Program
Residents will experience many aspects of Family Medicine from newborns to geriatric patients. Our programs offers almost daily noon lectures with regular Grand Rounds and Journal Club. Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine will also be integrated throughout our programs.
With the opening of Touro Medical College in Middletown, New York, a close and vibrant link to our new academic neighbor is ensured. Orange Regional Medical Center is approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) for a three year residency program in Family Medicine. Orange Regional has established a solid foundation for medical education in Osteopathic undergraduate education with its close affiliation with New York Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Education consortium (NYCOMEC) and its educational partner Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM).

At Orange Regional Medical Center, we offer a residency training programs in:
General Surgery Program
Our program offers exposure to a broad rand of surgical diseases. This is supplemented by an active emergency department which sees over 72,000 visits each year.
Emergency Medicine Program
Our has established a solid foundation for medical education in Osteopathic undergraduate education with its close affiliation with NYITCOM and their educational partners.
Our dynamic program grounded in clinical experience and didactics with an integrative care mission that will prepare our graduates to demonstrate the knowledge, clinical skills and empathy that is requisite to becoming an effective osteopathic psychiatrist.
Family Medicine Program
Orange Regional Medical Center is proud to offer a three-year Family Medicine residency for those looking toward a career in treating patients from infancy to geriatrics.
Internal Medicine Program
From intensive care to general internal medicine – our residents care for patients across a wide spectrum of disease in an efficient system supplemented by active faculty members and a supportive institution.
Traditional Rotating Internship
As a participant in the AOA Traditional Osteopathic Rotating Internship Program you will have an exceptional opportunity to bring the knowledge and skills you acquired in medical school to life including the regular application of OMT.

Psychiatry Residency Program Director
Ulrick Vieux DO, MS is the Psychiatry Residency Program Director/ Acting Chief of the Orange Regional Behavioral and Mental Health Counseling Services. Dr. Vieux completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, master's degree at Columbia University-College of Physicians and Surgeons and his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at New York Medical College (Brooklyn-Queens campus) and psychiatry-child and adolescent psychiatry at St.Luke's and Roosevelt Hospital Center.
