Cardiac Heart Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is a key component of your cardiac recovery. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive services to help you build a healthier heart.
Joining Our Cardiac Rehab Program
After your primary care physician or cardiologist refers you to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, our experienced team will schedule your individual, pre-program evaluation. Your family is welcome to attend. At this meeting, the Center’s cardiac nurse will review your health history and cardiac risk factors with you to determine your cardiovascular health level and physical fitness.
Every fitness plan is customized. Your personal needs will determine the equipment and exercises which make up your plan. In addition to supervised exercise sessions for people with coronary disease, our program includes education in relaxation techniques and risk factor reduction.
Our rehabilitation program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). While cardiac rehab programs are not required to be certified, Orange Regional is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care.
Certification by the AACVPR ensures that our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program meets the highest standards of patient care.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Team Can Help
Patients that are admitted to Orange Regional Medical Center's Peter Frommer Heart Center with heart disease or heart-related difficulties can consult with members of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team. Patients begin their cardiac rehabilitation on an outpatient basis after they are discharged. With exercise and education, Orange Regional offers all the tools needed for permanent lifestyle changes.
